2nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER - Saturday, December 6
Mark your calendars. We will be having our 2nd Annual Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 6, with your choice of either
Prime Rib or Salmon. If you have holiday dishes in sets of either 6 or 8 that you would be able to donate to be used that evening or
have decorating ideas for the day, please contact Dorothy Schultz or Helen Koller through the church office.

We invite you to join this year’s annual Chicago Shopping Trip on Thursday, November 20, 2008, sponsored by The Lutheran High
School Association of Greater Milwaukee 2008 Dinner Auction. Two charter buses have been reserved. Bus pick-up in the
morning will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (10025 W. North Ave.) at 7:30 a.m. Shoppers will enjoy exploring Michigan
Avenue, Water Tower Place as well as Macy’s on State Street in Chicago. Spend the day as you wish. Proceeds from this trip
benefit the students attending our Lutheran high schools. Cost is $28 per person. For more information or to make your reservation
on either the 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. bus, please call Shari at the LHSAGM office at (414) 421-9100.

| 19th ANNUAL MLHS CRAFT AND GIFT FAIR The best shopping of the year will be on Saturday, November 8, at Milwaukee Lutheran High School from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Over 100 crafters, artists and home-based businesses will be offering creative gifts for the holiday season. Take home delicious homemade bakery as well from our fabulous bake sale. Admission is $2. All proceeds support the music program. No strollers please. |

| ANNUAL VOTER’S MEETING The annual meeting will be held on Sunday, December 7, at 12:30 p.m. A light lunch will precede the meeting. The agenda and slate of candidates for election will be available next week. |
| WOMEN’S MINISTRY At our September meeting we were truly blessed with a new member Sue Dettman. We are sure Sue will be a real blessing to our Ministry Group. Our next meeting will be November 20 in the Neuberger Lounge. |

Women's Ministry would like to invite ALL ladies of Covenant to start off
the Advent Season with a "HOLIDAY TEA" on Sunday, November 30.
Registration will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a light lunch at 12:30 p.m. Our
guest speaker will be Mary Hilgendorf, a professor at Concordia
University, will talk on "Women In Jesus' Life". Sign-up sheets are on the
glass case in the narthex. Deadline to sign-up is November 23. What a
wonderful way to start this beautiful joyous season.

| FRUITCAKE SALE MLHS Guild is again baking their famous fruitcakes. Bakers will be busy November 5-7 baking and packaging fruitcakes so they will be ready for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. The fruitcakes are $8 and will be available between services beginning Sunday, November 16 through Sunday, December 14. Contact Eleanor Beckman or Jane Buck through the church office for your fruitcake. |
