STEPHEN MINISTERS are caring Christian friends who listen, understand, accept, & pray for and with care receivers who are
working through a crisis or challenge such as divorce, grief, loss of a job, hospitalization, relocation, or loneliness.  If you or someone

TENDER CARE is available during the 10:45 a.m. service and offers child care services for children from infant through age 5.  It is
located downstairs in the Childcare Center.

CRY ROOM AVAILABLE: Parents please remember that the Cry Room is available for your child during the worship service.  
Remember that the Cry Room is not a place for children to play but a place to take your child if he or she is crying, loud, or
disturbing the worship of the people around you. Thank you for being considerate of fellow worshipers.

THANKSGIVING WORSHIP: Wednesday, November 26, at 7:00 p.m. Join us for fellowship, coffee, and desserts after the
evening service. Thursday, November 27, at 9:00 a.m.


THANKSGIVING FELLOWSHIP:  There will be a Pie and Coffee fellowship after the Thanksgiving Eve worship service on
November 26.  Please join us after the 7:00 p.m. service for some holiday treats . . . and invite a friend!

THANKSGIVING OUTREACH FLYERS: There are yellow flyers in everyone’s mailbox to be used to invite someone to church
for Thanksgiving and Advent.  On Thanksgiving Eve, we’ll have coffee & dessert after the service, and we will have a light supper
each Wednesday in Advent before the evening services.  This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, and starting new
relationships.  Please give your flyer to someone & share the gift of the Word with them as we enter this holiday season.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS: There are a few families at Covenant who are struggling financially and need our help.  Please
consider making a monetary donation to provide Thanksgiving baskets for these families.  Use the envelopes in the narthex marked
“Thanksgiving Basket.”  The deadline for contributions is November 16.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR: All are welcome to come and sing for Christmas Eve.  Watch the bulletins for practice dates and times.  For

ALL WOMEN & TEENAGE GIRLS are invited to a “Holiday Tea” on Sunday, November 30, at 12:00, right after the late
service.  A light lunch will be served and a marvelous speaker, Mary Hilgendorf from Concordia University, will talk on “Women in
Jesus’ life”. Sign-up sheets are on glass case in the narthex.  What a wonderful way to start the Advent season.  Deadline for
reservations is November 23rd.

BABY BOTTLES can still be turned in to the church office until the end of this month.  Thank you for the wonderful response to this
mission project.

LADIES’ SOCIETY/LWML CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON: We will be having our annual Christmas luncheon at Alioto’s on
Thursday, December 4.  There will be a social at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at 12:00 p.m.  The cost is $15.  The “Shear Delight”
barbershop quartette will entertain us.  A sign-up sheet is on the glass case in the narthex.  Invite your friends for an enjoyable day.

“HELPING HANDS FOR OUTREACH” on Tuesday, December 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  We must reach out to others
during this holy season.  This is a sit down servant event.  We’ll prepare our candy cane ministry for members to share, sign
Christmas cards for Northwest School and Day Care families, and address postcards for our neighbors regarding our holiday
worship services.  Give a hand to reach out for the holidays!

STEWARDSHIP SUNDAYS:  Christian stewardship is more than money and offerings.  It involves the way we manage our time
and the way we use the gifts and abilities God has given to us.  God desires that we be good and wise managers of the blessings He
has given to us.  The theme for our stewardship Sundays this year is “Stewards Living A God-Pleasing Life.”  May God work
powerfully in our hearts and lives as we consider the following worship themes:
            November 16 – “Discipleship is the Path”
           November 23  -  “Generosity is the Hallmark”

2ND ANNUAL PRE-CHRISTMAS DINNER - Saturday, December 6, at 6:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall.  Each table will have
Christmas dinnerware and the hall will be decorated.  Entre choices are prime rib or salmon.  Tickets are on sale between services
for $25 each.  Make checks payable to Dorothy Schultz.  All profits will go towards the church budget.  Call Helen Koller, 414-463-

ADVENT SERVICES: Join us as we prepare for Christ’s birth!  We will be holding services at both 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, December 3, 10, & 17.  All are invited to join us for a homemade dinner at 6:00 p.m. and a hymn sing at 6:50 p.m.
each Wednesday during Advent.

WINTER ITEMS NEEDED: The Ladies’ Society/LWML project for November and December will be mittens, caps, scarves,
(children & adults) and children's winter jackets for the SOS Center.  Our collection will begin on Sunday, November 9, and end
Sunday, December 14.  Collection boxes will be in the Narthex.

ANNUAL VOTER’S MEETING:  The annual meeting will be held on Sunday, December 7, at 12:30 p.m.  A light lunch will
precede the meeting.  The agenda with a slate of candidates for election was placed in the mailboxes.

FOUNDATION MEETING:  The Covenant Foundation will have its annual meeting during the Voters’ Meeting on December 7.  
There will be an election for two members of the Board of Directors.  The candidates for election are Kenneth Diges, Scott Ihlenfeld,
James Keck, Roger Laesch, Joanne Nordstrum, and Brent Weeks.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

God provides power and strength for our daily lives through His Word.  The following Bible study classes are offered every Sunday
morning at 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

       “Nehemiah” – Preschool Room in the Upper Fellowship Hall
       “FaithWorks4Me” – Resource Center at NWLS
       “Keeping the Faith” – Neuberger Lounge
               

BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITY: Pastor Voigt’s Thursday morning Bible study meets in the Neuberger Lounge at 10:00 a.m.
every Thursday morning. We are currently studying Paul’s letter to the Galatians.  All are welcome to join us!

TENDER CARE VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED during the late service on Sundays.  You can volunteer once a month, twice a

BAKERS NEEDED: Northwest Lutheran School is having their annual Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale on Saturday, December
