What Should I Expect...

Sunday Morning  General Atmosphere - Our worship services and other activities are informal, come-as-you-are events. Our
desire is that you will feel comfortable and welcomed in every way. We have large print hymnals and bulletins available along with
portable hearing devices...Please see one of our ushers. If you’re comfortable, we invite you to fill out the Friendship Register. This will
give us an opportunity for a member of the Evangelism and Outreach team to contact you.

Sunday Worship - We offer two worship services at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. The 8 a.m. service style is considered a traditional service
where we will use the new Lutheran Service book. Our 10:45 a.m. service is designed to help reach-out to those that do not have a
relationship with Christ. The goal is to meet the needs of the lost or those who are not yet Christians. We will incorporate a non-
traditional style of worship grounded in sound Lutheran doctrine. It will including drama and video presentations, as well as inspiring
music to help communicate the never-changing Message of the Lord and encourage life-changing worship. Prior to and after the Family
Education Hour please join us for coffee and donuts in the Narthex.

Sunday School - Our Family Educational hour is at 9:30 a.m. Our staff and volunteers provide exciting programming and teaching for
children and adults of all ages. These programs are designed for children from pre-school on up through all life stages of adulthood.

Tender Care - Our nursery is fully equipped and staffed with loving care-givers during the Worship Services and Educational times.
We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children
are looking for a FUN place to learn. We’ve invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached

Am I expected to participate in the offering and communion? - The offering is for those who are part of the Covenant family.
Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something from your time at worship. And, that is a feeling of acceptance
at our church and a closer glimpse of God.

Holy Communion is for those in our church body who believe as we do in this Sacrament of the Altar. We believe it is the true body
and blood of Jesus Christ, in, with, and under the bread and the wine, given for the forgiveness of our sins. Before partaking in this meal
we ask that you speak to Pastor Voigt..

If it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church, Covenant has you in mind! There’s already enough you have to think about when
you’re visiting a church for the first time. We hope that getting some of this “stuff” out of the way not only encourages you to join us for
church, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
