When asked to put together something to let people reading the website take a look
at my life, I immediately thought of the many blessings God has given me.  First of all,
I was blessed with Christian parents that saw to it that I had a Christian education,
along with my sister and two brothers.  Secondly, God guided me into the life of a
wonderful Christian man, Keith Rosynek, who cherishes my every desire and has
been a constant source of encouragement to me both in my personal life, and in my
career as an early childhood educator, and the program director of Covenant Early
Childhood Center.

At a very young age, I recognized my passion for working with children.  My desire
was so strong that when God blessed us with two sons, I know that I needed to be a
“stay at home” mom.  Financially, we couldn’t afford that, so I pursued my early
childhood education while my children were young, and opened a family child care
center in my home.  In 1978, my center became certified, and I was now able to afford
to stay home with my babies, while caring for several others.  To this day, I still
receive “mother’s Day” and other holiday cards from families who touched my life so
many years ago.  After nine years of running my “at home” center, both of my
children had started school and I was ready to close my little center, and move on
into a group care setting.  I was hired by a large international chain center, where I
continued my education.  I remained at this center for eight years, working my way
from the teacher of two year olds, on up to K5 children, and then assistant director.
In 1995, I was approached by someone on the Covenant Board of Education.  The
board wanted to know if I thought it was feasible to open a small childcare on the
Covenant site.  I explained that I felt that it was, but cautioned them that it would be ”a
lot of work”.

God moved me to purse the child care director position that would now be opening in
my congregation.  The rest is history.  We opened the center in 1995, with only 3
children and two teachers.  Little by little the center developed into a licensed facility
serving 70+ families.

God continues to bless me with patience.  To this day, I still enjoy life with my
husband of 35 years.  Our son, Ben, left this life here on earth, to spend an eternity
with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in July of 2003. We miss him deeply and look
forward to be reunited with him one day.  Our son, Luke, is attending Graduate
School in Chicago.  He is studying Forensic Psychology, and continues to be a
blessing to his mom.
